Every Tier 1 professional Dota 2 game is scored on how good it was to watch, on a 0-10 scale, from its full post-game net-worth graph. The largest share of the score comes from how long the game stayed genuinely in doubt, weighted towards the later minutes: a game still undecided at minute 50 counts for far more than one close at minute 10. The remainder comes from how close the eventual winner came to losing, how many times the lead genuinely turned over, kill pace, and how far the winner's own base fell before they held. A net-worth lead is always judged against what that lead is worth at that point in the game, so a 15,000 gold deficit at minute 20 and the same deficit at minute 60 are not treated as the same event.
